Hotel Guide 2024: The best hotels of the year

Competition was fierce, but we have some winners: These are the best hotels of the year in Austria, Germany, Switzerland and Northern Italy.

July 9, 2024

Once again this year, Falstaff TRAVEL readers and a jury of experts selected the best hotels in Austria, Germany, Switzerland and South Tyrol. Over 1,200 hotels, spread across four countries, made it into the best lists this year. Almost 340 hotels were able to top their score from last year and 120 hotels were newly included in the ranking. In addition to the top 10 hotels in each country, the winners were chosen in the categories "Family", "Spa", "Design", "Gourmet", "City", "Sustainability & Innovation", "Ski", "Chalet" and "Best New Opening". In addition, the "Hoteliers of the Year" and formative figures in the hotel industry were honored for their "life's work". As individual and unique as the individual hotels are, they all have one thing in common: travelers can look forward to relaxing vacation moments at the best addresses.

For the first time this year, the most exclusive hotels of the year appeared in separate guides and are available in print and digital editions from the Falstaff TRAVEL online store.
