Heaven in Hinterzarten

The property and its private park covers 70,000 square meters and is located in the premium-class climatic health resort of Hinterzarten - only 15 such climatic health resorts in Germany have this special distinction. Katja Newman, the 16th generation managing director, has had around 90 percent of the historic hotel renovated in recent years. The modern interiors harmonize perfectly with the remaining traditional areas – both create the well-known Adler feel-good ambience. Each of the 64 rooms and suites stands out with its individual color scheme and furnishings. Some rooms have a balcony or terrace.

The Parkhotel Adler's charm consists of many factors: the unmistakable style, the natural warmth of the team, and the spaciousness of the grounds with its own small lake. There are endless opportunities to chill out, both indoors and outdoors. Hotel manager Katja Newman has left the park with its woodland, adventure playground, wildlife enclosure and idyllic lakes and ponds untouched. Guests can go for a lovely walk, linger on the benches, or watch the many birds and squirrels. In summer, the kitchen crew harvests fresh herbs from from the park every day.

Chef de cuisine and spice sommelier Bernhard König and head chef Alexander Kolodziej and their team channel their imaginative, contemporary style into versatile dishes whose flavors never fail to impress – winning several awards and satisfying even the most discerning palate. Their ingredients: The finest produce from around the world and the best from the region, preferably sustainably produced.

An overnight stay for adults includes a gourmet board with extensive culinary options – in addition to many other included services. A lovingly prepared buffet is available for guests for a late riser breakfast and lunch. In the afternoon, you will be surprised with sweet and savory treats and live music, as well as an English-style afternoon tea. In the evening, a choice 4-course menu is served.

Spa visitors have a direct view of the park from the indoor pool and loungers. An earth-fire sauna, an aroma soft sauna, a steam bath, a Kneipp foot basin and a lounge ensure deep relaxation in the brightly-lit sauna area. The wellness area is complemented by indoor and outdoor whirlpools, a solarium, a gym and a hairdressing salon.
