A ski vacation at DAS EDELWEISS is something special indeed, a unique combination of winter sports, tranquil wellness, and gourmet indulgence. The valley station of the Grossarltal-Dorfgastein ski lift is just 60 meters from the hotel. But easy access is only the beginning: Over 70 kilometers of prepared pistes are right at your doorstep at DAS EDELWEISS, with a brand-new, 10-person cable car leading up to the Kieserl for even more ski fun. To top it off, another fresh attraction awaits right on the mountaintop this season: The sky lounge "Wolke 7" Wolke 7 opened last December, drawing skiers with its astounding 360-degree panoramic view.

DAS EDELWEISS also prides itself on exuding an air of peace and calm. The new Family Spa beckons with a large, impressive in-door pool with a mirrored ceiling and spacious relaxation areas. In addition, this year saw the creation of 27 new suites, built in the contemporary Alpine style. The renovations also included four new areas for babies, kids and teens and an in-house aqua park with five water slides, among other attractions. Overall, the new wellness area stretches over 7,000 square meters on five floors, featuring two outdoor pools and separate sections for families and adults. Gourmets also have plenty to look forward to as culinary delights are front and center here: The EDELWEISS Mountain Cuisine restaurant has been awarded two toques by Gault & Millau and serves up gourmet excellence nightly, supplemented by the hotel's sushi bar and steakhouse. Another highlight is the wine list, which features 1,100 labels, while the wine cellar boasts 25,000 of the world's finest bottles.
