Mallorca for Foodies: 7 Hotspots to Know
Sun, beach, secluded bays, cool island lifestyle: that's not all the Balearic island has to offer. Numerous hotspots make Mallorca the new dream destination for foodies.
April 7, 2022
There are destinations that are known worldwide for their culinary delights. France, for example. Or also San Sebastián, which, with 11 Michelin-starred restaurants, is one of the most popular gourmet destinations in the world. In the meantime, a Spanish island is also becoming the next trend destination in terms of food: recently, Mallorca is becoming more and more interesting for foodies. These are the hotspots you should not miss under any circumstances.
Vandal
Located in trendy Santa Catalina, Vandal takes an avant-garde approach. This starts with the unusual façade with lots of graffiti. What may look like a nightclub on the outside is actually an address that foodies on Mallorca can't afford to miss. Extremely urban inside, Chef Bernabé Caravotta serves cuisine that experiments with new, unfamiliar flavors.

While vegetarian and vegan ingredients play the main role, there are also options with fish and meat on request. The "sensual and seductive experience" that the restaurant claims to offer has won many awards. The menu was conceived by chef Andrés Benítez.

The Duke
You could call it a hipster eatery - but you wouldn't. Because The Duke makes Mallorca the go-to spot for foodies with a penchant for healthy fusion cuisine. There's no butter, no artificial ingredients, just nature. The ambience is cozy and a bit reminiscent of a surfer's pub. Chef Ronny, who has also cooked in Michelin restaurants during his career, ensures the high quality. The name is a tribute to Duke Kahanamoku. The Hawaiian is considered the inventor of surfing.
