Houses in all the colors of the rainbow, clinging to steep cliffs, unspoiled nature and the crystal-clear waters of the Mediterranean Sea - here, where life still seems pristine and the world appears to be in order, a real vacation paradise has developed, right on the Ligurian Riviera. Cinque Terre, on the uppermost edge of the Italian boot, consists of five dreamy villages, all of which can score with a similar charm. Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore - these names should be remembered. The villages are all connected with hiking trails or can be reached by boat or train.
Tropea

It's not only the turquoise, clear sea water and the white sandy beaches that make Tropea so special. The small town at the foot of the Italian boot shines with history and an old town on a rock that guarantees a magnificent view. Not for nothing is Tropea called the pearl of Calabria. The narrow streets with buildings from the 14th to 18th century, equipped with many small cafes and restaurants, invite you to dream and linger.
Alberobello

The town of the white pointed hats looks almost like in a fairy tale. Alberobello, the eye-catcher in Italian Apulia, has a population of around 12,000 people. A special highlight are the so-called trulli, the small, white round houses with cone-shaped stone roofs, which can be found everywhere in the city. Lined with greenery and colorful flowers, they look like something out of a fantasy film. Anyone who stops here can look forward to a special experience.
Burano

If you find Venice fascinating you'll also love Burano. The most colorful island in the world has a similar cityscape like the lagoon city. Colorful fishermen's cottages line small canals on which boats are lined up. Burano is car-free, clean and can only be reached by water. Worth visiting is the Lace Museum, which tells the story behind the chic textiles that have their origin on Burano.
Lago di Braies

Italy can score not only with breathtaking bays and old towns, but also with the Alpine region in the north of the country. In addition to the Dolomites, the Pragser Wildsee (Lago di Braies) is a highlight that should not be missed on your trip. The region has long since achieved celebrity status on social media - not least because of its dreamlike combination of snow-capped peaks, unspoiled nature and the sparkling waters of the lake.
