Agüero - Huesca

Secret-Spots in Spanien

Spain can score not only with dream beaches and bays, but also with a unique hinterland. Lovers of unusual rock formations will be in their element in the village of Agüero in the province of Huesca. Here, a small cluster of traditional houses stretches out in front of the Mallos de Agüero, a steep-walled mountain massif on the southern edge of the Pyrenees. Climbers in particular have long since discovered this majestic formation for themselves.

Portocolom

Secret-Spots in Spanien

Anyone going on holiday on the Spanish vacation island of Mallorca should definitely take a detour to Portocolom. The small fishing village in the east of Mallorca is located in a large natural rocky bay and is home to the largest natural harbor on the island. Typical small houses with colorful doors and windows can be found here, as well as classic boathouses complete with boat garage, ramp and dock. It's a great place to stroll and soak up the historic vibes.

Ronda

The town of Ronda is breathtakingly spectacular. Thanks to its incomparable location on a steep cliff, above the deep El Tajo gorge, it looks almost like something out of a fantasy movie. If you dare, you should visit the stone bridge Puente Nuevo, which winds its way over the sheer endless depth. Incidentally, Ronda is 723 meters above sea level and plays a special role in Spanish bullfighting - the rules that still apply today were once invented here.

Poris de Candelaria

Fans of the pirate movie Pirates of the Caribbean should take a trip to the Canary Island of Tenerife. In the west, not far from Tijarafe, in a hidden bay is the so-called pirate cave Poris de Candelaria. Small white houses built into the rock guide the way, and behind them a dark, mysterious paradise reveals itself. Definitely It's THE highlight on Tenerife, which catapults you directly back into the time of pirates.

Juzcar

The Smurfs are definitely at home here. Watch out, things are pretty blue in Juzcar. Blue houses as far as the eye can see, a blue church, blue alleys - the southern Spanish town makes no exceptions when it comes to its colorful design. Since they once doused the house facades with 9,000 liters of blue paint, Juzcar has enjoyed growing popularity - especially among the Instagram community. Since there's hardly anything to discover here except for blue, blue, blue, a day trip to real-life Smurfville will do. Be sure to bring your camera!
