Because here the guests live around an only 350 meters wide island in altogether 34 Overwater villas. And yet they lack nothing. On the contrary. In 40 minutes to paradise
Even the journey to the island proves to be very comfortable. You'll get to island by speedboat in only 40 minutes. It's surrounded by two house reefs with their typical inhabitants. Snorkelers and divers will encounter rays and black tip sharks as well as colorful fish. The island is surrounded by a sandbar that changes with the tides. Lush vegetation provides shade and forms the backdrop against which the COMO Shambhala wellness facilities blend harmoniously with the island's appearance.

Overwater villas serve as temporary homes for guests. They received a facelift by Lekker Architects from Singapore. The team took care of the Dhoni Water Villas, which look like traditional boats, as well as the larger units, which have their own infinity pool. From all the villas - the smallest is still 75 square meters - it takes just a few steps to get directly into the ocean. The largest score with three bedrooms and a living area of almost 600 square meters. But they all have in common that they are bright, light-flooded and elegantly equipped.

The resort's only restaurant also proves that size really doesn't matter. Ufaa serves modern South Indian and Mediterranean cuisine at the beautiful community pool. The ingredients include regional products and sustainably caught seafood. Known as COMO Shambhala cuisine, each of the dishes scores with nuanced flavor profiles. They are also exceedingly healthy.

At the Faru Bar, bartenders create delicious cocktails and mocktails, and select wines, cigars, and light snacks are also available. If you want to add some variety to your dining experience, Destination Dining simply has your meal served to your private terrace or another spot on the island for an additional charge. Speaking of variety, the chef makes sure to change the menu offered every three days.
Rest and relaxation
Although the COMO Cocoa Island is not specifically an Adults Only Resort, there are no special facilities for kids. If you're traveling as a family, it's best to stay at the family-friendly COMO Maalifushi. Conversely, this means heavenly quiet and rest, broken only by the sound of the waves.
