Location & neighborhood

The hotel is located in the villa resort of Son Vida, just 15 minutes from Son Sant Joan Airport and less than ten minutes from the island's capital, Palma. The hilly area, with its impressive private homes, is fondly referred to by locals as the Beverly Hills of Mallorca. The historic 13th-century estate is surrounded by a Mediterranean park and the Son Vida golf course. From the rooms' balconies, as well as the legendary terrace, you can look out over the picturesque bay of Palma.

Rooms & suites

Castillo Hotel Son Vida has a total of 77 Classic rooms, 75 Deluxe and Grand Deluxe rooms, and 12 spacious suites. Earlier this year, the hotel unveiled the extensive redesigns of 100 accommodations (the remaining 64 had already been completely renovated in 2017). For the new design, the hotel worked with interior design firm Goddard Littlefair to create a new aesthetic that represents the property's regional identity and historic character. Furniture with hand-woven fabrics, traditional décor and Mediterranean colours characterize the design of the new rooms.

Each of the rooms is equipped with high-speed internet, a desk, spacious closets and a luxurious bathroom including a separate bathtub and shower. When it comes to the care products, emphasis is placed on regional origin. The flagship of the house, the princely Royal Suite, is 132 square meters and features a panoramic view, a large terrace, and a private Jacuzzi.

Food & Drinks

The in-house restaurant Es Castell serves guests modern creations anchored in Spanish-Mediterranean cuisine morning, noon, and night. Chef Juan López builds on products of regional origin and provides special themed barbecues for festive evenings in summer. The extensive breakfast buffet includes Spanish classics as well as international favourites. A smaller menu at lunch focuses on local cuisine highlights, with fresh salads, delicious seafood, and the region's famous ham. For dinner, enjoy modern reinterpretations of popular Mallorcan dishes, with global influences.

The stylish Bar Armas, with the ambience of a traditional cigar lounge, is a popular meeting place for refreshing cava, champagne, and cocktails. The absolute highlight of the bar, however, is the spacious terrace overlooking the surrounding golf courses and the Bay of Palma. During the day, the Sa Font pool bar is open, offering guests drinks and snacks in the pool area.

Spa & Fitness

In contrast to the historic opulence of the hotel, Castillo Hotel Son Vida Spa is a modern retreat for relaxation. Guests can choose from a variety of treatments, detox in two saunas and a steam room, swim in the indoor pool in any weather, and enjoy the heated outdoor pool. The in-house fitness centre is equipped with state-of-the-art Technogym equipment and offers enough space to pursue one's workout undisturbed.

Nestled in the hilly landscape, the hotel is a true paradise for golfers, who will get their money's worth on the three adjacent 18-hole courses Son Vida, Son Muntaner and Son Quint, as well as the 9-hole short course Son Quint Pitch & Putt. Beginners will appreciate the services of the Arabella Golf Academy with its highly qualified pros. The guest service also reserves tee times at all other golf courses on Mallorca.

With its romantic history (and beautiful ambience), the hotel is a popular location for weddings. The hotel's tower was originally built by the owner as a token of love for his sweetheart.
