Located in the heart of the Damüls-Mellau ski area, this family-run hotel is the ideal base for skiers and winter fans. With its location directly on the piste, it's a convienient ski-in/ski-out hotel, allowing its guests to be among the first at the ski lift every morning. The Alpenstern's spacious sun terrace has become a popular meeting place where skiers can enjoy a well-earned break with breathtaking views of the snow-covered peaks.

Delectable treats provide refreshment before heading back to the slopes. A special highlight are the "Alpenstern Winter Beats", which take place on the sun terrace every Saturday from 14:00: A DJ creates an exuberant atmosphere that flows seamlessly into the après-ski experience in the Lila Pause bar. Guests can round off the day in style, for example with a dinner in the à la carte restaurant Genusshalde or with a reservation at the exclusive house restaurant 1580. From Sunday to Tuesday, you can also book the special menu at their gourmet restaurant, Löffelspitze.

The turquoise-blue waters of Lake Achensee glow gently in the winter sun, with the mighty peaks of the Karwendel mountains rising up behind it. At the Buchau family resort, its dreamlike location is not just an empty phrase, but very much a reality. Thanks to heated pools, water sports and wellness are just as possible in the winter months as alpine skiing, tobogganing and cross-country skiing. 53 kilometers of perfectly groomed slopes and 31 lifts can be found here spread over three ski areas – in addition, a veritable winter sports wonderland extends around the lake. Children who don't fancy the snow are in good hands at the hotel's own Kids' Club: featuring plenty of courses and a weekly program, an indoor adventure land with a theater, cinema, climbing and riding hall, and a children's swimming pool with a water slide, there's something for every junior adventurer. Meanwhile, parents can relax in the sauna area or seek respite in the quiet areas. Best of all, everything is included in the price, so that families can stop worrying and just relax.
