You might not think of Montenegro when you think of wine. Yet, this is where the largest winery in Europe is located. Vines were cultivated in the region as early as the second century. Rafaela Pons, the head sommelier at One&Only Portonovi, is particularly passionate about searching for oenological treasures in the surrounding areas. These often end up on the hotel's wine list. As a particularly cool feature, a 55-year-old Rolls Royce Silver Shadow is available to guests. What a cool way to experience the sunset along the wine route at the Savina winery.

South Africa: Babylonstoren

It is the power of the South African sun that gives so much flavor complexity to the grapes. The area has a long tradition of viticulture. Wine has been produced here since 1659. Since the early 1990s, South African wines have repeatedly ranked among the absolute top wines worldwide. White wine with peach notes, pressed from Chenin Blanc grapes, and fresh Sauvignon Blanc are incredibly tasty. On the Franschhoek Wine Tram, guests are allowed to "Drink and Drive". The tram travels from winery to winery. One of them is Babylonstoren. In addition to grapes, they also harvest tea in the fields surrounding the vinery. There are two farm-to-fork restaurants, and their own olive oil production on the premises.
