Spring has arrived in the country and with the warm temperatures comes the appetite for gourmet travel. Reason enough to expand one's gourmet bucket list! From Zurich to Jenesien and from traditional cuisine to sushi creations: These 10 hotels score with relaxed moments of pleasure and excellent culinary delights for gourmets.

In the heart of Salzburger Land and as one of the most stately hideaways in Austria, Schloss Fuschl entices guests with true culinary delights. The culinary highlight is, of course, the castle restaurant, where chef Johannes Fuchs - awarded 3 toques by Gault & Millau - serves a combination of Austrian and French cuisine. In the Schloss Fuschl Fishery, delicious fish specialties are served freshly caught during the warm months. The excellent cuisine is accompanied by 1400 different bottles of wine.

Recently, another culinary hotspot has been waiting at the Panoramahotel Alpenstern: the "Löffelspitze". Every Friday and Saturday, guests can look forward to an exclusive 8-course tasting menu created by the top culinary duo of host Peter Bischof and chef Sandro Abel. Unique to it: every 2nd course is accompanied by a cocktail from the hotel bar NOVUM - by head bartender Oliver Polzer. Optionally, the menu is also prepared vegetarian. The fine dining restaurant scores with a relaxed atmosphere, up to 15 guests can dine at the 6 tables. Those who don't want to venture into the unusual option of a cocktail accompaniment can opt for a classic wine accompaniment with rarities from the vinotheque. This is personally served by the two owners and certified sommeliers Maximilian and Corina Steinfeld.
