First opened at the beginning of the year, at least the building that houses Rosewood Fuschl looks back on a long tradition of hospitality. With a breathtaking view of the lake, the castle has been a romantic place of longing for centuries. Now, carefully renovated, guests can expect a house that scores highly in terms of interior design, art on the walls and views of the lake. Six different gastronomic concepts aim to turn the Rosewood Fuschl into a gourmet destination for guests and locals alike. In all outlets, whose truly beautiful interiors were designed by DiPPOLD, the focus will be on locally sourced ingredients.

Castle-Restaurant: From classic to modern

Head chef and culinary director Julian Schwamberger creates an authentic journey through the regional flavors of the Salzkammergut using fresh and seasonal ingredients from nearby farms and suppliers. The selection of dishes ranges from classics such as saddle of lamb from Mattigtal with celeriac and black truffle to modern-inspired dishes such as Styrian Alpine prawns. Blunzn, gyoza and sauerkraut are also on the menu. These are accompanied by over 1,400 Austrian and international wines. The wonderful view of the lake almost makes you forget any waiting time as you ponder the regionality of kiwis and the lack of Ceasar salad dressing.

Castle bar: Incredible cocktails

The ambience in the Schlossbar is at least as wonderful. As an intimate place and decorated with hand-painted walls by artist Marie Hartig, who has also worked for Roswood Vienna, it's always a pleasure to come here. A romantic fire crackles in the 15th century wood-burning fireplace while you indulge in liquid delights. Tip: The alcohol-free apple strudel is a special treat.

Lake terrace: Global aspiration

Both inside and out, you can enjoy uninterrupted views of the lake. This is the place where some of the ingredients for the globally inspired "Alpine to Sea" cuisine come from. Schloss Fuschl Bouillabaisse with Styrian Alpine prawns and fish comes from the lake. Kaiserschmarrn with rum-raisin-apple puree, burgers and schnitzel round off the varied selection.

Vinotheque: Rustic oasis

The fact that Rosewood Fuschl wants to be a gourmet destination and a place for lovers of fine wines is underlined by the rustic wine bar where you can enjoy a glass of wine or two with a view of the lake. Hikers and locals are just as welcome here as overnight guests. They enjoy the carefully selected wine list with a focus on Austrian products. The down-to-earth accompaniment is a snack - including sausage, cheese, bread and ham.

Sisi Tearoom - Place of tranquillity

The Sisi films once made Schloss Fuschl famous; and are certainly one of the reasons why American guests in particular make their way to the tranquil lake. In homage to this heritage, Sisi Teesalon serves its own desserts and chocolates as well as an elegant afternoon tea. Chef patissier Jérémie Baessler takes care of the sweet temptations. The famous Schloss Fuschl Torte, the recipe which was created 32 years ago when the hotel was not yet under Rosewood management, is still available.

Lake Club: Alpine Beach Club Atmosphere

In summer, guests can spend relaxing hours at the Beach Club. They retreat to cozy cabanas and enjoy light, Mediterranean cuisine. Once again, freshly caught fish from the lake is available, but the Beach Club also serves a glass or two of noble sparkling wine. The tranquillity and beauty of the surroundings are also enchanting. This place is perfect for letting your soul dangle and relax.
