Mar-Bella Collection Brings Greek Chefs Back Home
For the fourth time this summer, Mar-Bella Collection is organizing the pop-up event "Greek Chefs Abroad" including renowned chefs.
24 May 2024
The event Greek Chefs Abroad has already become a tradition. After the great success of the last three editions, family-run Mar-Bella Collection is now organizing it again in 2024. The event series brings famous Greek chefs from all over the world back to the old homeland in summer. This year, they're coming to the Mar-Bella Collection Hotels on Corfu and Parga, to serve guests menus that have their roots in Greek cuisine. However, it's spiced up with a difficult dose of creativity and international influences. The focus is, of course, on typical Greek hospitality, which includes sharing good dishes as well as good stories.
Kick-off on June 22: Georges Athanassapoulos

It all starts with the co-founder and Head Chef of the Brussels restaurant Màloma, Georges Athanassapoulos. He has dedicated himself with great passion to sustainable cooking. His understanding of good cuisine includes sourcing ingredients from local suppliers and focusing on seasonality. As part of the Greek Chefs Abroad series, he's teaming up with Marina Katsoula, head chef at Nido, and her team.

Two stars from the Michelin Guide and numerous other awards attest to the extraordinary creativity and skill of the head chef of the Viennese restaurant Konstantin Filipou. The creations of the Austrian-based culinary artist are characterized by his deep love of fish and seafood. He'll also show this to guests in the Nido of the Mar-Bella Collection on July 13.

Dimitrio Moudios has come a long way for Greeks Chef Abroad. That's because he opened his restaurant Ore in Bangkok this year. There, he focuses on water from Sai Yok as the basis for his creative, elegant and minimalist dishes. Moudios has been an integral part of the culinary scene since his early years. The Greek can boast a corresponding number of high-profile stints, including in Berlin and Madrid. He'll be taking up residence at Elix.
September 6, 2024: Nicholas Poulmentis

The Greek-born New Yorker is normally responsible for the culinary fortunes of Noema on Long Island. But his innovative interpretation of Greek cuisine has made him famous far beyond the country's borders. Poulmentis spent many years on the Greek island of Kythra. Now, he wants to preserve the country's art and culture through typical cooking traditions. He'll be working with Dimitris Kakalikidis, the Elix Head Chef.
