The replacement stay is completely free of charge

Guests who book a trip to a Sandals or Beaches resort in the Caribbean before December 31, 2021 (with a travel date prior to December 31, 2022) will receive a voucher for the value of their room cost in the event of a positive Covid-19 test during their stay at the resort. This voucher can be redeemed for a replacement stay within 12 months of the issue date, allowing customers to book with complete confidence. The holiday at one of the resorts is therefore completely covered.

Guests traveling to a Sandals or Beaches resort will receive either a complimentary Covid-19 PCR or antigen test on-site, based on the respective requirements of the islands' local governments. This includes the mandatory antigen test for guests from Germany, Austria and Switzerland, which is conducted at all Sandals and Beaches resorts within 72 hours prior to guest departure. Results are usually available within 24 hours.

According to Adam Stewart, executive chairman of Sandals Resorts International (SRI), the new Sandals Holiday Protection take the worry out of travel and give guests the peace of mind that their investment in an all-inclusive luxury vacation is protected from interruptions and cancellations beyond their control. All current and new bookings made by 31 December 2021 for travel up to 31 December 2022 will automatically receive Sandals Holiday Protection as part of their booking, free of charge.
