Purosangue: Ferrari Launches First Four-door Car
Ferrari has been inspiring people with its sleek sports cars for 75 years. Now, after years of waiting, the company has launched the first four-door model on the market: the Ferrari Purosangue.

With its latest development, the Scuderia family has once again outdone itself: The car manufacturer's very first four-door car is based on a unique symbiosis of powerful innovation and ground-breaking design, bringing their years of experience from the racetrack directly to the road. A car of superlatives
When it came to the construction of an in-house off-roader, the internal Ferrari ranks were skeptical for years. For both Sergio Marchionne, who led the company from 2014 to 2018, and Louis Camilleri, CEO from 2018 to 2020, conventional SUVs were hardly a good fit for the brand under any circumstances. However, the latter was enthusiastic about the idea of developing a model that could shine with sheer revolutionary power and a unique look, while still being aimed at the masses and carrying Ferrari's DNA behind the wheel.

Performance of the future
The new Purosangue deliberately sets itself apart from conventional GT models (crossovers and SUVs) with its athletic architecture, new layout and innovative proportions. For example, the powerful twelve-cylinder naturally aspirated engine is not located in the front section of the body, but is instead designed as a front-mid engine behind the front axle. The dual-clutch gearbox is located on the rear axle of the vehicle for a sportier weight distribution.
Purosangue needs just 3.3 seconds to reach the 100 km/h threshold. It accelerates to 200 km/h in just 10.6 seconds. An impressive 725 hp are just as much a part of the car's technical hallmarks as its low weight, the Power Transfer Unit on the front-wheel drive and a whole range of dynamic driving control systems.

While Purosangue comes across as a real powerhouse behind the wheel, visually it focuses on less is more. Weighing just 2,033 kilograms at just under 5 meters, it's a real lightweight compared to its super-luxury competitors. For the silhouette, the designers opted for delicate and soft lines.
