New arrival: Mövenpick Hotel Basel has opened

Since September 1, there is a new highlight in the Swiss hotel world! Because the Mövenpick Hotel Basel has opened. The special thing about it: The luxury house is sustainably and convinces with an elegant interior design that immediately makes you feel at home.
Sustainability meets design
One thing that particularly distinguishes the new Mövenpick Hotel in Basel is that the construction process was completely sustainable. The architects Miller & Maranta were responsible for this. The hotel's interior also provides one or the other eye-catcher. The elegant interior design was created by the internationally renowned designer Matteo Thun. Conceived as an elegant state-of-the-art hotel, the Mövenpick is perfectly located as part of the new Baloise Park, right next to Basel's SBB railway station.
The modern hotel has 234 rooms and 30 suites, including 20 junior suites, nine suites and an exclusive presidential suite. The atmospheric interior follows the motto "Timeless Modern" by emphasizing warm colors and natural materials. Here a deliberate focus is placed on the style mix of elegant Swiss simplicity and timeless comfort.
Gastronomy as the heart of the hotel
The heart of the Mövenpick brand has always been the gastronomy concept behind each hotel, which in the Basel hotel stands out for its innovative strength and international influences. Such as the Puro restaurant, which has a spectacular show kitchen and combines Latin American specialities with the traditional flavours of Asia and the best regional products in an informal atmosphere.
As Executive Chef, the Argentinean Pablo Löhle, who previously also had a decisive influence on the menu at the Grand Hotel Les Trois Rois in Basel, is setting new and surprising accents. His other stations include the renowned Kempinski Hotel Bristol, Grand Hyatt and Hotel Adlon Kempinski in Berlin.
Business & Parties
As an important business location and venue for internationally significant trade fairs such as Art Basel, the hotel also has a comprehensive business and MICE offering. The ultra-modern conference centre, for example, has a total area of 2,000 square metres, which can be used flexibly. The elegant and divisible ballroom with a room height of five meters allows festivities with up to 600 guests. Spacious foyers with natural light are perfect for stand-up lunches, coffee breaks and cocktails. The meeting rooms and boardrooms on the second and third floors feature individual design and multifunctionality combined with an outstanding view of the city.
A wellness oasis in the middle of Basel
In addition, the hotel has a luxurious spa and fitness area on 240 square meters. This includes a sauna, steam bath, experience showers and an exclusive relaxation zone.
