This fall, Amanjena is offering a four-night Extreme Desert and Mountain Sports Retreat that will expose guests to the resort's serene surroundings, the beautiful Agafay Desert, and the striking peaks of the Atlas Mountains. For very active and adventurous guests looking to test their endurance and strength, each day of the retreat offers a new challenge: a long-distance run in the desert, a 60-mile mountain bike excursion or a mountain trail run.

Each activity is led by a knowledgeable guide and guests are provided with all the necessary equipment such as hydration packs, first aid kits, water and energy bars. Upon return, guests can relax and soothe their tired muscles with a complimentary spa treatment each afternoon. The three-day Aman Drive 4x4 experience offers dedicated drivers and adventure-seekers access to some of the most beautiful routes stretching towards the verdant valleys of the Atlas Mountains. This gives guests the opportunity to explore unique locations in the region. From rolling hills and cedar forests to vast areas of desert sand and dunes. Covering 482 kilometres with two longer days and one shorter day, guests can discover the rich culture of the region, such as the Unesco heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou - a fortified village and great example of Moroccan clay architecture in the Atlas Mountains.

On arrival, guests will be treated to a Moroccan tea ceremony before spending the afternoon at their leisure, whether relaxing by the pool or at the Aman Spa for a massage or signature treatment. Lunch is served amidst the region's most majestic landscapes - high up in the Atlas Mountains at Timichi Settifatma, at Refuge Ali in Toulkine or at the Amanjena Desert Camp, where camel rides, dune buggies or quad biking through the Agafay Desert promise pure adventure.
