The highly anticipated One&Only Portonovi in Montenegro will welcome its first guests from 1 July 2020. This will make the luxury resort the first of the One&Only brand in Europe - with the aim of becoming one of the absolute hotspots on the Adriatic coast. Discerning globetrotters can look forward to Chenot Espace - a unique wellness concept for a more active, balanced lifestyle. Meanwhile, culinary radiance emanates from the Sabia restaurant, run by none other than Italian celebrity chef Giorgio Locatelli. Surrounded by spectacular mountains, the One&Only Portonovi is located at the entrance to the wildly romantic Boka Bay, a protected idyll on the Montenegrin Adriatic coast. The location borders the famous UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Bay of Kotor and features a 238-berth marina and helipad.

Architecturally, the impressive seaside resort reflects the style of old Venetian palaces - including generous facades and magnificent porticos, as well as the characteristic terracotta roofs, gardens and pools. Living

All guest rooms, suites and villas at One&Only Portonovi are positioned so that their occupants enjoy magnificent views of the marina, bay and mountains. For groups and families with flexible space needs, there are several connecting options between rooms and suites. The 113 spacious guest rooms will feature open fireplaces for cooler evenings, spacious bedroom-sized bathrooms, ample space for relaxing and socializing, large floor-to-ceiling windows, and terraces that offer views of the bay and mountains. 

The Suite One of One&Only Portonovi is a one-bedroom presidential suite with a private wine cellar that guests can stock with their personal selection of 268 bottles of wine from Europe and the region. Other features include an alfresco dining area with seating for up to twelve people and stunning panoramic views, as well as indoor and outdoor fireplaces and a separate butler's entrance. In addition, the resort will offer two secluded, spacious villas; the Villa One with three and the Villa Two with two bedrooms. Each villa is surrounded by its own garden complete with outdoor shower and a private pool as well as a hydrotherapy pool. It offers incredible sunset views over the Adriatic Sea, coupled with exceptional service from a dedicated team of butlers, chefs and room staff.

Gastronomy

With a culinary offering as diverse as it is world-class, curated by Chef Nancy Kinchela, One&Only Portonovi is also set to become a hotspot on the Adriatic coast when it comes to gastronomy. For example, Giorgio Locatelli's Sabia, the Michelin-starred chef's first restaurant in the region, will offer Riviera-style Southern Italian cuisine. Locatelli will focus on fresh seafood and vegetables, as well as a Raw Bar featuring organic crudo and fresh mozzarella. The Tapasake Club presents itself as a relaxed yet lively pool club, treating guests to modern, pan-Asian fusion tapas-style cuisine alongside its own sake bar and regular DJ sets. La Veranda will celebrate locally grown ingredients and Montenegrin culinary arts with an open kitchen and live cooking stations. And the Caminetti Bar in the lobby welcomes guests with sweeping views of the terrace, garden and sea, flanked by an extensive drinks menu - ideal for an aperitif or after-dinner cocktail - as well as afternoon tea and small delicacies.

Medical Wellness in collaboration with Chenot
