Valentine's Day is just around the corner and people like to think of romantic holidays where they want to spend time with their loved ones. At the moment the Travel little difficult, but you can already plan for the future. No one can take away the memories and experiences of a city trip for two, especially if they are made in one of these romantic places.
Bruges, Belgium
As sweet as the name sounds, this place is too. It is a true example of medieval buildings and cobblestone streets that run along canals called Reien. Bruges is also called the Venice of the North, where you can take romantic boat trips through the small canals.
Verona, Italy
The place for romantics! Verona is best known for the wonderful and tragic love story between Romeo and Juliet. It is located on Lake Garda and is home to countless Roman monuments and Renaissance gardens that invite you to take romantic walks.
Weimar, Germany
Is known as the city of poets and thinkers. In Weimar you will find impressive architecture as well as the home of Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, where he lived for 50 years and put many of his love poems on paper. But also because of its beautiful castles, fountains and churches this city is worth a trip.
Granada, Spain
With its impressive architecture and charming corners, the Andalusian city is blessed with a very unique beauty. Small winding streets and countless beautiful squares offer pure romance! Tip: enjoy the sunset over the Alhambra, the city castle on the Sabikah hill of the city.
Ljublijana, Slovenia
The Slovenian capital is probably not on many people's radar! Yet its name already conceals a romantic message: in German, Ljubljana means "beloved" (ljubljena). In the picturesque old town with its pastel-coloured houses and art nouveau buildings, you can stroll around and enjoy the Mediterranean lifestyle.
Prague, Czech Republic
Prague is not only called the Golden City, but also the city of a hundred towers. Everywhere in the center you can admire towers of different sizes, colors, shapes and styles. A few days surrounded by Baroque, Gothic, Art Nouveau and Neoclassical is a wonderful way to spend romantic hours with your loved ones.
Madeira, Portugal
For all nature lovers, the Portuguese island southwest of Lisbon is a must! The Atlantic island offers breathtaking scenery and is also known as the "flower island" due to its lush native flora. For those who prefer a more urban flair in the evenings, the capital Funchal is the place to be.
Budapest, Hungary
The pearl on the Danube is perfect for a relaxing getaway for two. The magnificent Buda Castle in the middle of the city makes you feel like you've landed in another century. And thermal baths offer a romantic escape for wellness lovers.
