The desire to travel is unbroken. But which destinations are in vogue?

Even if the current situation does not look very rosy, travel will slowly become possible again in the summer. But what will be allowed and which destinations are in trend? We have summarized the most important trends and destinations for you.
Greece
Santorini, Mykonos, Rhodes... Greece was already the trend among Austrians in 2020. This year, too, many holidaymakers will pack their bags and head for the Mediterranean. The entry regulations currently require a negative PCR test or the Corona vaccination. However, the borders are open and Greece scores with tasty cuisine and incomparable scenic diversity.
Camping
Camping trips will also boom this year. Advantages are the flexibility and the independence of the travellers. If the weather in a region is too gloomy, everything can be packed up and driven towards the sun. Plus, the spirit of discovery has been awakened in many vacationers over the past year. And let's face it...Austria beckons with a lot of untouched nature and fascinating landscapes!
Car Travel
Destinations like Italy and Croatia can be easily reached by private car. Apartments provide the necessary privacy and independence for the holidaymakers. Here you don't have to sit in the dining room with hundreds of other guests, but can relax and rent a house with the family and enjoy the holiday in a small group. In addition, you do not have to squeeze into a packed plane and hold out for hours with the FFP2 mask.
Trips
Home excursions to the most exciting places in one's own country are once again in vogue this year. Hallstatt is at the forefront as the tourist attraction. While in the last few years it was not possible to visit the picture-book town due to the large crowds of tourists, this year it is still being enjoyed completely without any large crowds from abroad. With the discovery trips in one's own country, one also strengthens the local economy and gets to know sides of one's own country that one does not normally see.
