Airlines increase the number of flights to the Maldives
Both Qatar Airways and Emirates have increased the frequency of their flights from Doha, Qatar, to Malé, the capital of the Maldives, to four per day. The archipelago has benefited from the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) Maldives has received the "Safe Travels Stamp" and is therefore considered a Covid19-safe holiday destination for travellers. No quarantine period is required upon arrival, but a negative PCR test result must be presented to the respective airline before departure to the Maldives.

At the luxury resort Vakkaru Maldives a new Ayurveda program offers guests another way to maximize their well-being during their stay at Baa Atoll. The treatments, specially designed for Vakkaru with the support of Sri Lankan Ayurveda brand Siddhalepa developed are led by Ayurvedic physician Kalani Perera and take place in a dedicated Ayurvedic treatment room at Merana, the resort's overwater spa.
Maldives among top six destinations to visit in 2021

The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Islands is a new 100-villa resort set on the beautiful beaches of North Malé Atoll and will welcome guests to the island in the second quarter of 2021.
