A seemingly endless expanse of 56 square kilometres! The Seiser Alm is a striking landscape wonder in the Dolomites and the largest high alpine pasture in Europe. This and the villages of Castelrotto, Siusi allo Sciliar, Fiè allo Sciliar and Tires allo Catinaccio make you want to actively enjoy nature. Time to enjoy the Skiing area Alpe di Siusi/Val Gardena, with 175 km of slopes and 80 cable cars the largest ski area within Dolomiti Superski!

Winter pleasures, surrounded by a dreamlike landscape

Whether on the ski slope, the cross-country ski run, the toboggan run or on foot: the winter holiday around the Alpe di Siusi in South Tyrol is best experienced actively. A total of 60 kilometres of perfectly groomed winter hiking trails and 50 kilometres of marked snowshoe trails make the area around Europe's largest high alpine pasture an absolute "must-see" for winter holidaymakers. Untouched nature, the magnificent view of the Dolomites with their peaks Sassolungo, Sassopiatto, Sciliar and Catinaccio and the winter sun make snow lovers come to rest. A popular destination for snowshoe hiking in South Tyrol is the area around Tires: whether a tour into the rustic Tschamintal valley or under the Rosengarten, whether a leisurely pleasure hike or a challenging alpine tour, there is something to suit every taste. Far less strenuous, but just as recommendable, is a horse-drawn sleigh ride through the dreamlike winter landscape or ice skating on the idyllically situated natural ice rink Völser Weiher. Romantic moments and togetherness are guaranteed.

Variety of superlatives

On the 63 kilometres of wide pistes of the Alpe di Siusi, sun-seeking pleasure skiers get their money's worth: beginners feel their way to skiing, while experienced carvers are drawn to the red and black pistes. Adrenalin can be released in the fun parks, speed traps and video timing facilities. Thanks to its altitude of over 2000 metres, the Alpe di Siusi is one of the most snow-sure regions in South Tyrol. Three ski day tours are available: The Alpe di Siusi Ronda and the Alpe di Siusi/Val Gardena Ronda lead through the ski area in several stages. If you want, you can also join the Sellaronda, the world-famous 26-kilometre tour, in the ski area.

Sci Ai Piedi

The Hochalm conveys a feeling of peace and safety: you ride exclusively on modern, open chairlifts - 20 in total - in the fresh alpine air. Keeping your distance made easy! On all lifts you can, as they say in Italian, keep your "sci ai piedi". This means that the skis are strapped on and there is no need for time-consuming putting on and taking off skis. The time gained is well invested in the alpine huts with their large sun terraces. Here you can get everything your heart desires - from gourmet cuisine to home cooking: hearty dumplings, refined pasta dishes, sweet omelettes and delicious apple strudel.
