Das EDELWEISS Salzburg Mountain Resort

The culinary agony of choice awaits guests at "DAS EDELWEISS". The five-star hotel in the Salzburg Alps has made a name for itself with its two-hood cuisine under the direction of chef Alexander Hettegger. Regional, vegan or international menus are served daily in the six parlors. Steak lovers also get their money's worth: In the "Sirloin" restaurant, fillets from overseas are on the menu alongside local Wagyu meat. The Central

In the fall and winter of 2023/2024, a very special highlight awaits gourmets at "Das Central": Their "Hauben Rallye" in the ski resort of Sölden is a culinary event in a class of its own. Over four days, guests are treated to two culinary events in their in-house restaurants, which have been collectively awarded a total of 5 toques by Gault & Millau. Among them is the ice Q, a spectacular panorama restaurant 3,048 meters above sea level that provides a singular haute cuisine experience with its 4-course Gourmet Lunch. On the other end, there's the cozy Ötztaler Stube within the hotel and its Alpine Evening – a 4-course menu featuring specialties from the region. In addition, guests can look forward (as part of their half-board) to a 5-course menu of their choice from their award-winning kitchen. Scottish ambience, an amazing performance by the "Red Eagle" bagpipers and a whiskey selection never seen before in Pertisau on Lake Achen: October 21, 2023 was all about the "water of life" at Achenseeschifffahrt-GmbH. Their long-awaited "Whiskey Ship" was a complete success, giving aficionados the opportunity to sample an impressive selection of spirits, exchange ideas with experts (from, among others, Pernod Ricard Austria, The Glenlivet, Chivas, Aberlour and the Claymore Whiskey Club) and gain futher insight into the world of whiskey. The atmospheric setting added an extra layer of enjoyment to the tastings, toasts, and merriment on the two-deck vessel. In the evening hours, the ship departed for a tour of the lake, which included a dinner, talk, and a 5-course menu with - what else – a select whiskey accompaniment.
