The villas

At the Conrad, you can choose between Overwater Villas and Beach Villas. The former are reserved for adults aged 16 and over. They meander elegantly over the turquoise water and offer fantastic views of the sea - with the option of unobstructed views of the sunrise or sunset. With their own pools and sun decks, they offer pure privacy. Glass floors allow guests to observe the colorful world of fish below the villa. It's ideal for honeymooners and couples.

The Beach Villas are located on the main island of the resort and they offer space for three to six guests. Each villa has a small private section of the beach. The larger villas also have a private pool. Outdoor showers under the open sky and an open-air pavilion are also included. Thanks to the clever room layout, both families and groups of friends feel right at home in the villas.

Elegant interiors and high-quality finishes are something all villas have in common. Barefoot luxury is elevated to the highest level without a lot of frills. Natural materials paired with elegant accessories and light-flooded rooms create a feel-good atmosphere on the island.

Food and drink

Food and drink lovers can expect a total of 12 different locations. A special highlight is Ithaa, the world's first underwater restaurant. Here you can dine a few meters below sea level and admire the coral and fish diversity of the Maldives. The Cheese & Wine Bar is equally special, where you can dip your toes in the volcanic sand while tasting fine wines and a variety of cheeses. Conrad is also home to the first underground wine cellar in the Maldives. It's reserved for private dining.

You can also dine over water at the Sunset Grill, which juts out into the sea on stilts. A mix of sea and land is served here, paired with an excellent wine menu. The Mandhoo Spa Restaurant also juts out over the water and specializes in healthy and energizing cuisine. It's perfect for a light lunch at lunchtime. Back on the beach, Ufaa by Jereme Leung serves authentic Chinese cuisine with a subtle twist. Vilu Restaurant & Bar serves Mediterranean cuisine and boasts a wide selection of wines. Koko Grill offers a 7-course Japanese menu in the open air, which is prepared right in front of the guests.

At Atoll Market, guests enjoy an almost endless selection of breakfast options early in the morning. Food is freshly prepared at the buffet, or you can fill your plate with the available selection. In the evening, the menu takes you on a world tour: Three times a week there's a themed evening. In the adults-only area, you can enjoy a wide selection of freshly mixed cocktails in the Quiet Zone during the day. The Rangali Bar also serves fresh drinks and small snacks throughout the day. Private beach dining is of course also on offer and is particularly popular with honeymooners. A romantic evening can be spent with your toes in the sand and you can listen to the gentle sound of the sea.

Spa

The Mandhoo Spa is a small resort within a resort. The overwater villas offer plenty of peace and quiet while you indulge in relaxing treatments. Holistic treatments are on offer to energize and ground you. In combination with the healthy cuisine of the spa restaurant, you can recharge your batteries with all your senses. In addition to the Mandhoo Spa, there's another overwater spa that impresses with relaxing treatments and breathtaking views of the sea. Guests can relax to the sound of the sea in four spa suites.

Therapists and trainers visit the island regularly and offer additional wellness services. Yoga and personal training are also part of the program on Conrad Rangali Island. Every guest can have an individual training program put together - from boot camp to tennis lessons on the resort's own tennis court.

The Muraka

If you have the available change, you should book Muraka. The unique private villa is only accessible via a jetty or by boat and extends above and below sea level. The world's first underwater residence awaits you here. On the upper floor are two bedrooms and a bathroom with a panoramic glass front overlooking the open sea. There's also a living room, a fully equipped kitchen and a sun deck with pool. You'll also find a separate area for your own nanny or butler. A spiral staircase leads to the heart of the villa: the underwater bedroom with glass dome, dressing room and bathroom. Here, your stay becomes a special experience as you watch the fish in their habitat. A stay at Muraka naturally includes a 24-hour butler service. On request, a team of chefs will visit the villa and prepare all meals in the villa's own industrial kitchen.

Although the Conrad Maldives is not a new addition to the Maldives, it's definitely one of the luxury classics. The buildings and offers have been continuously refined, and the adults-only island was only recently reopened after the Overwater Villas underwent a renovation.
