  • elegant design
  • best location in Hamburg

The ultra-modern design hotel TORTUE HAMBURG in the center of the Hanseatic city is a place of relaxation, culinary enjoyment and the perfect base for your trip to Germany's most beautiful metropolis. British star architect Sir David Chipperfield designed the historic building in collaboration with Stephen Williams. Kate Hume from Amsterdam, Joyce Wang from Hong Kong, Stephen Williams and the Bornhold furnishing house from Hamburg were enlisted as interior designers. As you stroll between Stadthausbrücke, Große Bleichen and Neuer Wall, you will find yourself in the middle of Hamburg's history, to which the TORTUE owes its name.

The TORTUE sets new gastronomic standards. With three restaurants and five bars, ranging from the Asian cuisine of JIN GUI to the French-German finesse of the brasserie and the French opulence of chez l'ami', the hotel offers a culinary journey in a class of its own. The bars, including the lively bar noir, the exclusive bar privé, the stylish smokers bar bar bleu, the charming day bar petite TORTUE on Neuer Wall and the breathtaking roof terrace jardin with its unique view of the port of Hamburg and the Elbphilharmonie concert hall, are meeting places for connoisseurs and bon vivants. TORTUE HAMBURG in its entirety is a tribute to life and the senses.
