Location & neighborhood

As already mentioned, the location of the hotel could not be better. Both by taxi and public transport, it is just over half an hour's drive from Firenze-Peretola Airport to the Hotel Savoy. In the immediate vicinity are not only numerous designer shops and boutiques, but also Florence Cathedral, Palazzo Strozzi with its art exhibitions and the Uffizi Gallery. The Ponte Vecchio is a five-minute walk away. At the square right in front of the hotel, there are always performances of live musicians. In the evening you are right in the middle of the action.

Rooms & suites

Guests can choose from a total of 88 rooms and 14 suites. Their size ranges from a comfortable 25 square metres to a light-flooded 105 square metres in the Grand View Suite. No matter which accommodation you choose: it goes without saying that you get an extra portion of elegance on top. After all, none other than Olga Polizzi, the sister of Sir Rocco Forte, was responsible for the interior design.

Real wood parquet floors, box windows, linen bedding, marble and luxurious fabrics from Tuscany are just some of the attributes that make each of the accommodations a stylish hideaway in the middle of the bustling city. Views of Florence Cathedral can be enjoyed from some of the suites.

Food & Drinks

The hotel's own restaurant "Irene", named after Sir Rocco Forte's daughter, celebrates Italian cuisine. The maestro at the stove is Fulvio Pierangelini, who brings Tuscany to the plate with authentic dishes. The restaurant, a cosy and elegant place in which green and earthy tones dominate, invites you with a large selection of delicious breakfast dishes in the morning (tip: Eggs Fiorentina!). For lunch and dinner, the menu features modern interpretations of Italian classics with local ingredients.

The restaurant's terrace also has a particularly wonderful ambience. Whether you like to sit outside in the morning, enjoy "Fish & Spritz" on Friday evening or experience "It's Raining Meatballs" at Sunday lunch: the terrace in the blue and pink Savoy signature design by Emilio Pucci is the place to be in Florence.

Wellness & Fitness

Even the fitness centre - classically located in the basement - is elegantly furnished. And of course also modern. The equipment is of the latest Technogym standard. Cardiovascular as well as strength and resistance machines are available.

Service & Amenities

Perfect location, great accommodations, great food. Can you top that? Yes - or rather: sì! Because, as is so often the case, it's the little things that make the difference. In the case of the Hotel Savoy in Florence, for example, it's the high-quality face cream from the Irene Forte Skincare range that's waiting on the bedside table every night. Or the jewelry with fresh flowers, which is even present in the bathroom. And of course the books: in the rooms you will find selected classics of world literature.

The concierge team takes care of its guests attentively, just like the staff in the "Irene", even if there can be waiting times in the morning. But then the quality of the food leaves nothing to be desired. Airport transfers, in-suite check-in as well as unpacking and packing service are included or can be added depending on the package chosen.

Italy loves its bambini - the Hotel Savoy Florence is no exception. For the very young, there's 24-hour babysitting on request, special turnodwn service, complimentary baby food, bottle warmers, high chairs, mobiles, bath products for babies, baby tubs and more. Slightly older kids eat for half off, there's a special breakfast corner for kids, check-in cards, coloring books and welcome ammenties. There's also plenty for teenagers, such as gaming consoles, books and magazines.

Four-legged family members are welcome at an extra charge; and those arriving by car can park nearby (for a fee). The hotel is designed to be barrier-free.

A Tip from the editorial office

From Florence airport, public taxis go directly to the city center and thus also to the door of the Hotel Savoy at a fixed price of about 25 euros. It was built in 1893, and since 2000 it has been part of the Rocco Forte collection. Recently renovated, it is one of the most beautiful hotels in Florence. The best views are from the Grand View Suites. The Repubblica Suite, on the other hand, has private balconies. If you want, you can rent bicycles at the hotel and explore the city on them.
